user will be able to use and interact with the software product being

Introduction
Web
Based Whiteboard is the Java based online appliacation in which is used for
collaborative learning.This application is based on CSCL. Computer-supported
collaborative learning (CSCL) is considered as one of the most promising
innovations to improve teaching and learning with the help of modern
information and communication technology. Collaborative learning refers to an
instructional method whereby students are encouraged or required to work
together on problem-solving or learning tasks. In its ideal form the
collaboration involves the mutual engagement of learners in a coordinated
effort to solve a problem together or to acquire together new knowledge.
Web
Based whiteboard is mainly used for education and web-conferencing where
multiple users can learn together and share their ideas.In that application
user can draw anything on his/her whiteboard and share with other peoples which
are login in that group.

interact in real-time. This User Manual provides a detailed description of all
the Web Based Whiteboard features. I am sure you will find the that whiteboard
easy to use. Let’s get started!
Computer Requirements
Before entering the classroom,
make sure your computer meets the following requirements:
- Windows, Windows 7 ,VISTA ,UBUNTU or any O.S.
- 32 MB RAM
- 500KB disk space
- Pentium 166 MHz or faster ,i3,i5(200 MHz recommended)
- Internet connection
- One of the following Internet browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome

User Control Panel
The User Control Panel provides user
with one-click tools to manage the whiteboard, and includes.
Login Page:
In the login page user can login with
username and select the room from the given rooms like
- C
- CPP
- JAVA
Username must
be in characters only and not empty otherwise alert will be generated “Please
enter a valid name” or “ Enter a name please ”.
After a successful l login, the whiteboard for that panel will be opened .
After opening that whiteboard ,User can draw on the whiteboard by using following options...
Drawing Tools:
In the drawing Tools,there are five
panels from which you can select any option or tool to draw object .
- Select Tools:
In tools there are buttons from which you can select any option like...
Background: After selecting on that button user can
select
any color as a background for the whiteboard

Eraser : After selecting this button user can
erase the
particular portion of the panel (as the mouse moved) .
Fill : This button fills the color in the current object
selected from the shape panel and color is select
from color panel .By default the color is black.
Text : After selecting Text button user can add the text in the given position where he/she will click. (This
option is generally used for assign a names and

- Select Width ::
In this width panel user can select the width of the the given object.
By default ,width is 2.But user can increase or decrese the width just by
selecting a option from the given combobox.
- Select LineStyle ::
User can
select the line style in that whiteboard application.Here
there are three different combo box for line style,starting symbol and
ending symbol .In which the Line styles are:

Start Symbol and End Symbol: In start and end symbol given..........
In the given panel as shown in panel, there are four objects Rectangle ,Circle ,Line and Pencil.User can select any object and draw on whiteboard of given width and color.By default color is black. When whiteboard open first time by default pencil is selected (like in paint application).
User can draw object eg.as User will select Rectangle then when user click on panel and drag mouse on whiteboard the rectangle will draw on
whiteboard at run time so user get idea about the size of rectangle. After
release user can resize rectangle if he/she want .

In color panel ,user can select color
from given colors and can draw or
fill the given shape with that color.User can also select any color from the given editColorPanel button where JColorchooserBox is opened .

Status Bar :
The whiteboard contain the status bar where user can see the mouse moved and mouse drag points of the whiteboard.(as in the paint application).This helps user to get points from the whiteboards .
Whiteboard/content Window:
This is the whiteboard panel in which user can drag ,draw,color,erase objects.
Logout:
User logout by just click on Logout button available in Tools panel or directly click on close button of whiteboard panel.
